Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu
You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi by our company’s representative and start your safari by driving to Samburu National Reserve which is situated in Samburu County in the Rift valley part of Kenya. The reserve is known for its abundance in rare northern specialist species such as Grevy Zebras and Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and Baisy Oryx. There are also the big five animals (lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalo, and Elephants).You will arrive in good time for lunch.
On the first day, After checking in at your accommodation, you will enjoy an evening game drive which starts at 16:00hrs. After the game drive you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay. Dinner and Overnight stay at Elephant Bedroom Camp.
Day 2: Samburu
On the second day, you will have options half day or morning and afternoon game drives .morning game drive starts early before sunrise at 6:00 am. and coming back for breakfast and an evening game drive starting at 16:00 and experiencing the magical moment as the sun sets down behind the horizons with a beautiful silhouette against the dimming African skies.
In between the mid-morning you can do nature walks at an extra cost. This Park is renowned for its over 350 species of birds recorded, or just relax as you listen to the singing sounds of the birds. Dinner and Overnight stay at Elephant Bedroom Camp.
Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta
After Breakfast you drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Nanyuki, Laikipia County. Ol Pejeta is one of the best wildlife conservancies in Kenya, thrilling with the biggest number of animals.
After checking in at your accommodation, have lunch, you will embark on your afternoon safari starting at 15:30 and have a chance to visit the Chimpanzee endangered species enclosure before proceeding with your drive visiting Baraka the blind Rhino among other inhabitants of this great conservancy. Back to your accommodation when sun sets down. Dinner and Overnight stay at Sweet Waters Serena Camp
Day 4: Ol Pajeta – Lake Naivasha
After Breakfast drive to Lake Naivasha, the name derives from the local Maasai name Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise. Lake Naivasha also has over 385 species of birds which is also amazing for bird lovers and big families of Hippos.
Upon arrival at your accommodation, you will check in, have lunch, relax and embark on your afternoon exploration in this beautiful fresh water lake on a boat safari later disembark at the shores for a walking safari at crescent island an animal sanctuary in midst of Giraffes, Thompson gazelles, wildebeests, Impalas among others herbivorous as sunsets over the African horizons as you round off your Afternoon Adventure. Return back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at the camp. Dinner and Overnight stay at Loldia House
Day 5: Lake Naivasha –Maasai Mara
After breakfast you will drive south west to the unrivaled plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve across the Masai land through the Suswa plains with a brief stopover at the Masai town of Narok. Continue towards the interior plains of the Mara arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. The Mara is Kenya’s most renowned game reserve with an extra ordinary highest density of animals including the Big five and other varieties of plains game. The 270Kms. long Mara River cuts through the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem offering the spectacle during the annual migration and life to the two game reserves as it meanders through the savanna into Lake Victoria. The highlight of this safari is the instinct-led migration of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara,
After checking in at your accommodation in good time for lunch you will later embark on afternoon game drive starting 1600hrs. Until 1830hrs for dinner and overnight. Dinner and Overnight stay at Entim Maasai Mara
Day 6: Maasai Mara
Depending on the wildlife migration patterns, sightings and the prevailing weather conditions, the second day in Mara will be spent exploring the extensive grasslands savannas with options of half day or morning and afternoon game drives. Whatever best suits you.
Hot air balloon and traditional Maasai community’s cultural visits for a glimpse into their rich culture, can also be arranged at an extra cost. Dinner and Overnight stay at Entim Maasai Mara
Day 7: Nairobi
Sunrise game drive starting 0630hrs followed by breakfast at the lodge before your drive back to Nairobi through the Loita plains and the floor of the Great Rift Valley before making it to Nairobi in the early afternoon.
